The Joy-Discovery Cafe is completely content with itself, which is a refreshing change in the world of competing food chains and restaurants. The food here is served by the friendly sari-clad staff and the unique and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere means that you can enjoy your burger, curry and dhal and fresh fruit juices in peaceful retreat from the noisy disorder of Rundle Street.
I just wanted to take time to let others know how tremendous Joy-Discovery Cafe is.
As a studying naturopath, health and diet are extremely important to me. I have been a frequent lunch-time patron of Joy-Discovery since its opening on the 8th of March 2004. The menu provides an abundance of healthy, nutritious meal and drink options at affordable prices with a daily specials board. Joy-Discovery accomodates for vegetarians through to vegans, with high protein through to gluten-free menu items to name a few. I believe it would be hard for anyone not to find something on the menu that they would enjoy, from soups such as dhal, curries to wraps and an abundance of fresh juices, with my favourite, the wheatgrass shot.
The team - Anubha, Mel, Kate and Nina ensure you are made to feel very welcome with relaxed friendly conversation.
Thanks Joy-Discovery team, in a world of fast forward, you have created an atmosphere where you cantake a minute to relax, unwind and refuel.
Superb, healthy food in a very pleasant peaceful atmosphere with very helpful and loving staff. Vegetarian excellence.

I visit Joy-Discovery Cafe about once a week. I really like the atmosphere especially the chai tea, dhal, Mediterranean burgers and the felafel platter.
